"Gone: an Artist's Book of the Dead"

Death is sort of like the weather – it’s everywhere. Except that people don’t like to talk about it! When I was feeling lost, dead and uninspired, I embarked on a personal exploration of death. A weaving together of fiction, memoir, and multicultural traditions and stories, it's a meditation on physical death and death as a metaphor for both loss and the unknowable. The book addresses and embodies the use of creative process as a way to navigate life's transitions.

In "Gone", I take myself through my own death - a facsimile of course! on paper only! - while exploring the cyclical nature of both life and the creative process. Here's a sneak preview of the first 5 pages (of 130).
